SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has redesignated Chandraker Bharti, IAS (AGMUT:1996), as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) following his promotion to the Apex Scale of the Indian Administrative Service.
The General Administration Department issued Government Order No. 1615-JK(GAD) of 2026 on October 8, 2026, stating that the redesignation follows Bharti’s promotion to Level-17 of the Pay Matrix by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Bharti was promoted to the Apex Scale through an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs under endorsement No. 14016/24/2025-UTS.I dated September 25, 2026.
The order further states that the officer assumed charge in the Apex Scale on 1 October 2026. Consequently, he has been formally designated as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary).
