SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has referred the long-pending demand for removal of the pay anomaly of Junior Supervisors and Sub-Auditors in the Cooperative Department to the Finance Department for examination and necessary approval.
The matter was disclosed in the Government’s reply to Un-Starred Assembly D. No. 1/6/553, tabled by MLA Showkat Hussain Ganie, who had sought details on why the issue was not addressed in the recent reorganisation and restructuring orders despite assurances given on the floor of the House.
According to the Cooperative Department, the employees’ demand involves upgrading their pay from Level-2 to Level-4.
The department said the proposal has already been referred to the Finance Department for examination and necessary approval.
The Government did not specify a timeline for a decision on the proposed pay-level upgrade in its reply.
