SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has regularised 11 in-charge engineers in the Public Works (Roads and Buildings) Department, including seven as Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) and four as Executive Engineers (Civil), with retrospective effect from dates ranging from September 2013 to May 2021.
The regularisation was sanctioned by the Public Works (R and B) Department on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission.
According to Government Order No. 277-PW(R&B) of 2026, dated July 30, seven engineers—Mushtaq Ahmad Shah, Firdous Ahmad Khushkhan, Mohd Mateen Wani, G.A. Sheikh and Saleem Akhtar Khan—have been regularised as Assistant Executive Engineers (Civil) with effect from September 5, 2013, while Mohd Sidiq Dar and Tanzir Afzal Khan have been regularised in the same post from March 1, 2014.
Four engineers have been regularised as Executive Engineers (Civil). Nazir Ahmad Parray has been regularised with effect from April 1, 2014, S Amarjeet Singh from August 1, 2019, Ajaz Ahmad Khan from March 1, 2020, and Tanzir Afzal Khan from May 6, 2021.
The regularisation as Assistant Executive Engineers carries the pre-revised pay scale of Rs 15,600–39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs 5,600, while the Executive Engineer post carries the pre-revised pay scale of Rs 15,600–39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs 6,600.
