SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer, posting and adjustment of 96 In-charge Assistant Executive Engineers (Mechanical) across the Jal Shakti, Public Works (R and B), Housing and Urban Development and other departments, with immediate effect.
The orders were issued through Government Order No. 279-PW(R and B) of 2026, dated 31 July 2026, by the Public Works (R and B) Department and authorised by Anil Kumar Singh (IAS), Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary).
The order follows four earlier government orders issued on 7 May, 14 May, 4 June and 23 June 2026, under which 57 engineers were placed in the higher grade/post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) on an In-charge basis in their own pay and grade (OPG), pending further adjustment.
Under the latest order, Er Kiran Hansa, Er Rais Ahmed Laway, Er Rajeev Kumar and Er Devinder Kumar Mangotra have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department for further posting. Er Bilal Bin Mohammad has been posted to Mechanical & Hospital Division SD-I, Handwara, replacing Er Tashooq Ahmad Rather, who has been transferred to Mechanical and Hospital Division SKIMS/JVC SD-III against an available vacancy.
Er Reyaz Ahmad Mir has been posted as In-charge AEE, PW(R and B) Circle South Srinagar, while Er Mushtaq Ahmed Bhat has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Handwara SD-II. Er Sandeep Mohan has been posted as Technical Officer to the Superintending Engineer, Mechanical and Hospital Circle Jammu, and Er Raj Nath Bhat has been posted to Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Er Mohd Yaseen has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department. Er Nissar Ahmed Bhat has been posted to the Directorate of Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department, Kashmir, replacing Er Imran Sidique, who has been transferred to Machinery Division Kashmir SD-I.
Er Mohd Sadiq Mir has been transferred from the Jal Shakti Department to Mechanical and Hospital Division Anantnag SD-II, replacing Er Abdul Rehman Khan. Er Abdul Rehman Khan has moved to PW(R and B) Circle Pulwama-Shopian, replacing Er Parvez Ahmad Purzgar, who has been posted as Technical Officer to the Executive Engineer, Machinery Division Kashmir, replacing Er Shiekh Fida Hussain. Er Shiekh Fida Hussain has been posted to Mechanical & Hospital Division Baramulla SD-I.
Er Mukesh Kumar Sharma has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Rajouri SD-I. Er Tahir Rashid Khan, Er Kamaljeet Singh (Ex-serviceman), Er Zeeshan Akram and Er Sanjeev Kumar Gupta have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department for further posting.
Er Rajesh Kumar has been posted to the Industries & Commerce Department, while Er Vikas Gupta has been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department. Er Waseem Yousuf has been posted to PW(R and B) Circle Bandipora, replacing Er Vinod Trakroo, whose services have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Er Rameez Rafiq Keema and Er Mushtaq Ahmad Mir have been posted to the Lakes Conservation and Management Authority against available vacancies. Er Umar Mushtaq has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Doda SD-II, replacing Er Sadiq Mohd, whose services have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department. Er Malik Mohd Nasir and Er Sanjay Bhat have also been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Er Laxmi Kant Gupta has been posted as Technical Officer to the Executive Engineer, Machinery Division Jammu, replacing Er Rinku Pandita, who has been transferred to the Labour and Employment Department. Er Nidhi Khanna has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Udhampur SD-I, replacing Er Harvinder Singh, whose services have been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting in UEED Jammu.
Er Khursheed Abdullah Itoo has been posted to PW(R and B) Circle Anantnag. Er Vibhu Matoo has been posted to the Directorate of Mechanical and Hospital Engineering Department Jammu, replacing Er Vinod Kumar Bhan, whose services have been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for further posting in UEED Jammu.
Er Nahida Rehman, Er Fozia Farhat, Er Tarun Sharma and Er Zameer Ashraf have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department for further posting. Er Tariq Ahmad Bhat has been posted to Machinery Division Kashmir SD-II.
Er Sanjay Raina-III, Er Jagdev Singh, Er Bashrat Ibrahim Sheikh, Er Ajaz Ahamd Rather and Er Mohammad Azam have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department. Er Mohd Ashraf Lone has been posted to PW(R and B) Circle Kupwara, while Er Sagar Singh has been posted to the Labour and Employment Department.
Er Manjeet Kotwal has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division Doda SD-I. Er Kewal Krishan has been posted to PW(R and B) Circle Doda-Kishtwar, while Er Showkat Javeed and Er Suraj Parkash have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Er Ravi Kumar has been posted to PW(R and B) Circle Kathua-Samba. Er Kuldeep Raj, Er Ashok Kumar and Er Surinder Singh Bahu have been placed at the disposal of the Housing and Urban Development Department for posting in UEED Jammu. Er Baldev Raj, Er Vinod Kumar, Er Kem Raj Raina, Er Said Rehman, Er Jyoti Prasad, Er S. Kulwant Singh and Er Khurhsid-Ul-Islam have been placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Er Bhupinder Singh has been posted to PW(R and B) Circle Rajouri. Er Fayaz Ahmad Ganie has been posted to Mechanical and Hospital Division SKIMS/JVC SD-I, while Er Imtiyaz Ahamd Bhat has been posted as Technical Officer to the Executive Engineer, Mechanical and Hospital Division SKIMS/JVC.

Er Farooq Ahmad Chopan has been transferred from PW(R and B) Circle North Srinagar and posted to PW(R and B) Circle Kulgam, replacing Er Devinder Singh. Er Devinder Singh has been transferred to Mechanical & Hospital Division Kathua SD-II, replacing Er Manish Mangotra.

Er Harvinder Singh, In-charge AEE, Mechanical and Hospital Division Udhampur SD-II, has been transferred and placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department.
Er Manish Mangotra, In-charge AEE, Mechanical and Hospital Division Kathua SD-II, has also been transferred and placed at the disposal of the Jal Shakti Department for further posting.
The order states that the transfers and postings have been made in the interest of administration and are effective immediately.
