KPDCL Announces Power Shutdown

   

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar, Ganderbal and Bandipora districts on August 1 and August 4 to facilitate maintenance of several 33 KV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Bemina–JVC/PC Depot line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 4, affecting electricity supply to Boatman Colony, Bemina JVC Hospital, Children Hospital, State Motor Garage, Hajj House, Forensic Science Laboratory, PC Depot, Qamarwari, Barthana and adjoining areas.

In Ganderbal district, the shutdown of the 33 KV Kangan–Kangan line and 33 KV Badampora–Wangipora Tapline will be carried out from 8 am to 2 pm on August 1. The outage will affect Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, Baba Nagri, Canal, Batwina, Wangipora, Nowgam, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal and nearby areas.

Meanwhile, the 33 KV Badampora–Army Hakbara line will remain under shutdown from 8 am to 2 pm on August 1 and August 4, disrupting power supply to Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer and adjoining localities.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan accordingly, as electricity supply will remain suspended during the maintenance period.
