Jammu Kashmir Govt Regularises 17 Engineers as Chief Engineers in PWD Department

   

SRINAGAR: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the regularisation and promotion of 17 Superintending Engineers (Civil) as Chief Engineers (Civil) in the Public Works (R and B) Department, according to a government order issued on Tuesday.

The decision, issued under Government Order No. 201-PW (R and B) of 2026 dated 09 June 2026, confirms their substantive appointment in Pay Level-13 and Pay Level-13A, with several cases carrying retrospective and notional effect, in some instances extending up to or beyond the officers’ dates of retirement.

The promotions pertain to officers serving across different periods, with a number of them having already superannuated. In such cases, the regularisation has been granted notionally up to their respective retirement dates, while others will benefit from extended pay and service status as specified in the order.

Public Works (R and B) Department has implemented the order in accordance with service rules governing departmental promotions and confirmations of in-charge positions.

Among those regularised are Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Dharam Paul, Rafiq Ahmad Rafiq, Gh. Mohi-ud-din Akhoon, Javed Iqbal Bukhari, and Parvez Ahmad Bhat, along with several others including Kuldeep Singh Nathyal, Vidhu Kumar Sharma, Anil Kumar Pandohi, Mohit Mahajan, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Syed Arshid Hussain, Nisar Ahmad Pandit, Sanjeev Gupta, Sajad Ahmad Naqeeb, Atul Bali, and Sushil Kumar.
