SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has authorised the release of a further 25 per cent of funds under the Revenue Budget for 2026-27, taking the total funds released so far to 75 per cent of the approved Budget Estimates (BE) under the remaining detailed heads of other administrative expenditure.
The Finance Department issued the authorisation on Tuesday, allowing all departments to access the additional funds through the Budget Estimation, Allocation and Monitoring System (BEAMS).
The latest authorisation has been issued in continuation of Government Order No. 149-F of 2026 dated April 1 and a subsequent Finance Department authorisation issued on August 25.
The department said funds under detailed heads specifically excluded in the April 1 government order would continue to be released on a case-to-case basis.
It also made clear that utilisation of the authorised funds would remain subject to the terms and conditions prescribed under the April 1 order and strict compliance with the austerity and economy measures imposed through Government Order No. 198-F of 2026 dated May 22.
The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority by the Director General (Budget), Finance Department.
