SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has revised the composition of a committee constituted to inquire into the death of a patient, replacing two members of the panel, according to an order issued by the Health and Medical Education Department.
Government Order No. 746-JK(HME) of 2026, dated October 6, said Dr Narinder Bhatyal, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, has been appointed in place of Dr Harbaksh Singh, the then Chief Medical Officer, Jammu.
The order also named Dr (Prof.) Rajesh Mahajan, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia at Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, as the replacement for Dr Anita Vig, who has retired from service.
The changes were made as a partial modification to Government Order No. 273-JK(HME) of 2026, issued on April 7, which had constituted the committee to inquire into the patient’s death.
The Health and Medical Education Department said all other provisions of the April 7 order would remain unchanged.
