SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of two officers of the JK Economics and Statistics (Gazetted) Service with immediate effect in the interest of administration.
According to Government Order issued by the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, Mahesh Kumar, Deputy Director (Economics and Statistics) at Government Medical College, Kathua, has been transferred and posted to the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, JK. He replaces Musadiq Hussain Khan.
Musadiq Hussain Khan, Deputy Director (Economics and Statistics), has been transferred and posted to the Home Department at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir. He will replace Bilal Ahmad, who had been holding the post as an additional charge.
The order states that both officers shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect to enable them to assume their new assignments.
The transfers were ordered through Government Order issued by the Planning, Development and Monitoring Department and signed by Commissioner/Secretary R. Alice Vaz, IAS. The order is dated July 31, 2026.
