SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Haj Committee has allocated 814 seats for Private Hajj 2027 among 19 authorised Hajj Group Organisers (HGOs) in the Union Territory, with three organisers placed in Category-I and the remaining 16 in Category-II.
The allocation follows the Ministry of Minority Affairs’ September 26, 2026 notice on the selection of HGOs for Hajj 2027 (1448H). The J&K Haj Committee, functioning under the Department of Haj and Auqaf, has subsequently issued the quota details for the selected organisers.
Each of the three Category-I organisers has been allotted 74 pilgrims, accounting for 222 seats, while each of the 16 Category-II organisers has received a quota of 37 pilgrims, accounting for 592 seats.
Labaika Haj & Umrah Services has retained its Category-I status and has been allotted 74 seats. The other two Category-I organisers are Al Hayat Hajj and Umrah Travel Services and Al Khuddam Hajj & Umrah Services, which have also received quotas of 74 pilgrims each.
The 16 Category-II HGOs, with 37 seats each, are Universe Travel Corporation, Raj Baba Tour & Travels, Al Ghazali Tour & Travels, Al Huda Travels, Al Safeer Tour and Travels, Fly High Tours and Travels, Al Ansar Tours and Travels, Al Haramain Hajj and Umrah Services, Gazi Tour & Travels, Madina World Travels Pvt Limited, Anabia Holidays and Tourism, Sahar Tour & Travels, Al Haram Tours Hajj & Umrah Services, Khadim Al Mecca Tour & Travels Private Limited, Leena Travelers and M.G Tours and Travels.
The Haj Committee of India’s official website lists Hajj 2027 as the current pilgrimage cycle and provides the policy, guidelines, pilgrim lists and related official notifications for 1448H.
The J&K Haj Committee has advised intending pilgrims opting for the private Hajj route to deal only with HGOs officially selected and allotted quota for the 2027 pilgrimage.
Pilgrims have also been advised to verify the credentials and authorisation of the concerned organiser before making payments or entering into any booking arrangement, and to keep proper records of agreements, receipts and other transaction-related documents.
The allocation comes as preparations for Hajj 2027 advance, with the Haj Committee of India already issuing a series of notifications for the 1448H pilgrimage, including those concerning applications, advance payments, waiting lists, medical screening and other preparatory arrangements.
The official Haj Committee of India portal identifies Dr Shujaat Ahmad Qureshi as the Executive Officer of the Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee, while Safeena Baig is listed as its Chairperson.
