SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered that several officers and officials promoted in the Administration Cadre will be granted the benefit of notional promotion with effect from December 31, 2025, while excluding six named officers from the benefit.
According to Order No. 741 of 2026/RG/NG-487(I) issued by the Office of the Registrar General at Srinagar on May 18, 2026, the decision follows the acceptance of representations submitted by officials promoted under earlier orders dated January 23, 2026 and February 16, 2026. The matter was considered by the Committee for Appointment and Promotion of Officials/Officers of the High Court staff and subsequently approved by Hon’ble the Chief Justice.
The Court has directed that the promotions granted earlier shall carry notional effect from December 31, 2025, the date on which the Committee’s resolution was adopted.
However, the benefit has been withheld in respect of the following officers:
Ajay Sharma, Registrar; Shri Dalip Razdan, Deputy Registrar; Shahji Bhat, Deputy Registrar; Asima Illiyas, Assistant Registrar-I; Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, Assistant Registrar-I; and Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Assistant Registrar-I.
