SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered a series of promotions in its administrative wing following recommendations made by the Committee for Appointment and Promotion of Officials and Officers of the High Court Staff and approval by the Chief Justice.
According to an order issued by Registrar General MK Sharma, Syed Shamim Ahmad and Subash Chander, both serving as Deputy Registrars (Administration), have been promoted as Joint Registrars (Administration) in Pay Level-12 against available vacancies.
Assistant Registrar-I Brij Lal Singh has been elevated as Deputy Registrar in Pay Level-11.
The order further stated that Altaf Hussain Khan and Nazir Hussain Mir, presently Assistant Registrars-II, have been promoted as Assistant Registrars-I, while Section Officers Ghulam Rasool Dar, Abdul Majid Malla and Avnish Sharma have been promoted as Assistant Registrars-II.
Court Officers Naziya Nazir, Murtaza Ahmad Qureshi and Head Assistant Tarun Suri have been promoted as Section Officers in Pay Level-7. However, the promotion of Naziya Nazir has been made subject to the outcome of a complaint pending before the Registrar Vigilance.
Head Assistants Rajeev Joshi and Mohammad Ashraf Paul have been promoted as Court Officers.
The High Court has also promoted M Iqbal Bhat (Sahir), presently Usher-I, as Junior Assistant against a vacancy created following the retirement of Firdous Ahmad Sofi. Orderlies Uzrat Nazir and Molvi Abul Hassan have also been promoted as Junior Assistants.
The order stated that all promoted officers and officials shall continue at their present places of posting until further directions are issued.
