Jammu Kashmir High Court Orders Darbar Move to Srinagar from May 4 for Summer Season

   

SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has directed the annual Darbar Move of its Main Wing from Jammu to Srinagar for the Summer Season 2026, with offices set to resume operations in Srinagar from May 4.

According to an order issued by the Registrar General, key offices including the Main Wing of the High Court, the office of the Principal Secretary to the Chief Justice, Registrar Vigilance, Director of the JK Judicial Academy, Registrar Rules, Registrar IT, and the Central Project Coordinator (e-Courts) will close in Jammu on April 30 after office hours and reopen in Srinagar on May 4 in the forenoon.

The order also provides for a uniform Special Move Travelling Allowance of Rs 25,000 for employees participating in the relocation. However, it clarifies that the allowance will not be extended to employees who fail to shift within the prescribed timeline.
