SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh has reconstituted both the Commercial Division Benches and the Commercial Appellate Division in its Srinagar and Jammu wings for hearing commercial disputes and appeals under the provisions of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015.
The reconstitution has been made through Order No. 1073 of 2026/RG and Order No. 1072 of 2026/RG, both dated 14 July 2026, issued by the Office of the Registrar General at Srinagar. The new arrangements have been approved by the Chief Justice (Acting) and will remain in force until further orders.
According to Order No. 1073 of 2026/RG, issued under Section 4 of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015, the Commercial Division Benches have been reconstituted in supersession of High Court Order No. 1449 of 2024/RG dated September 25, 2024.
For the Srinagar Wing, the Commercial Division Bench will comprise Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi and Justice Shahzad Azeem. The Jammu Wing Commercial Division Bench will consist of Justice Rajesh Sekhri and Justice Sanjay Parihar.
The order states that the Commercial Division Benches shall hear and dispose of all suits and applications relating to commercial disputes, including arbitration proceedings involving commercial disputes, filed or pending on the original side of the High Court.
In a separate Order No. 1072 of 2026/RG, issued under Section 5 of the Commercial Courts Act, 2015, the High Court also reconstituted the Commercial Appellate Division in supersession of High Court Order No. 548 of 2024/RG dated May 9, 2024.
Under the revised arrangement, the Srinagar Wing Commercial Appellate Division will comprise Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Sanjay Dhar, while the Jammu Wing Commercial Appellate Division will consist of Justice Rajnesh Oswal and Justice Mohd Akram Chowdhary.
