In Anantnag, around 700 NHM employees remained off duty, causing difficulties for patients and affecting healthcare services.

The employees said they would continue the strike until the government gives a written assurance on their demands. Several hospitals were operating with limited services amid the ongoing protest.

Health Minister Sakina Itoo urged the employees to return to duty and warned that the Jammu and Kashmir Government could be forced to take action if the protest continued.

The NHM employees have maintained that they would call off the strike only after receiving a written commitment from the government regarding their demands.
