SRINAGAR: Police have attached properties worth Rs 1.72 crore belonging to a drug peddler in Baramulla district, North Kashmir.
According to a statement issued by police, multiple properties, including double-storey houses in Chowadhi Jammu and Trikanjan Boniyar, along with a tipper, trailer, and Scorpio vehicle, were attached. The properties are owned by Rafiq Ahmad Khan, also known as Rafi Rafa, son of Gh Hassan, a resident of Trikanjan Boniyar.
“The action was taken under Sections 68-E and 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act, 1985, in connection with FIR No. 134/2016 under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, registered at PS Boniyar. The properties were identified as illegally acquired through the trafficking of narcotics and psychotropic substances,” the statement reads.
