Jammu Kashmir Police Orders Immediate Transfer of 251 Inspectors Across Zones and Wings

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has ordered the transfer of 251 inspectors across various zones, wings and specialised units with immediate effect.

The wide-ranging order details extensive reassignments to key wings including the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Traffic, Government Railway Police (GRP), and Crime Branch.

Those posted to CID from the Jammu Zone include Jeet Singh, Rajesh Jasrotia, Inder Paul Singh, Rakesh Singh, Sanjeev Andotra, Sajid Mughal, Zaheer Iqbal, Firdoos Ahmed, Shakil Ahmed Manhas, Purab Singh, Tribhawan Khajuria, Vishal Dogra, and Khayati Maan Khajuria, alongside Gurupal Singh, Faheem Ahmad Mir, Sameer Ahmad Bhat, Ankush Jyoti, Manjeet Singh, and Sumesh Padha. Moving from the Kashmir Zone to CID are Showket Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Rasool Geelani, Firdous Ahmad Gabroo, Gowhar Ali Ganai, Javeed Ahmad Khan, Khurshid Ahmad Awan, Sarfaraz Ahmad, Mohamad Irfan Malik, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir, Khalid Aslam Shah, Mohd Ashraf Mir, and Ajaz Hmad. Furthermore, Waseem Raja, Anil Sharma, Vikas Gorkha, Udhay Shanker Wazir, Shamim Ahmed, Jahangeer Ahmed, Johan Mohd, Krishan Lal Raina, Vikas Malvotra, Kiran Kumar, Kamal Kishore, Altaf Hussain, Anil Kumar, Rakesh Roshan, Arun Sharma, and Youg Raj have been transferred within or to CID Jammu Zone. Meanwhile, Rashid Ahmad Malik, Syed Shabir Hussain, Gh Jeelani Masoodi, Mehraj Ud Din Raina, Mohammad Saleem, Nazir Ahmad, Sarwar Hussain Mir, Sajad Ahmad Bhat, Hyder Ali Wani, Shamim Ahmad, Khalid Karim Zargar, Syed Liyaqat Geelani, and Amjid Hussain have been posted to CID Kashmir Zone.

The Traffic wing has also received a substantial influx of officers. Posted to general Traffic roles are Nazir Ahmed, Abid Hussain Shah, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Kirti Sharma, Neeraj Kumar Choudhary, Anil Kumar Sharma, Rajeev Kumar, Arti Thakur, Joginder Singh, Shabir Hussain, Rohit Gandhi, Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, Habib-UI-Rehman Khan, Sajad Iqbal, Rajveer Singh, Sandeep Parihar, Deepak Katoch, Mashkoor Ahmed Giri, Amandeep Singh Soodan, and Vivek Sharma. Inspectors Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Zahoor Ahmad Khan, Abdul Rahman, Sheikh Sameer Altaf, and Fayaz Ahmad have been transferred from the Kashmir Zone to Traffic.

Dedicated postings to Traffic Jammu Zone comprise Sameer Jeelani, Vinay Gupta, Raghubir Sharma, Rajnish Slathia, Mohammad Iqbal, Anayat Hussain, Anil Kumar Jad, Javid Iqbal, Rakesh Singh Samyal, Kuljeet Singh, Mohammad Akther, Karan Singh, Kuldeep Chander, Ajaz Parvaiz, Thakur Dutt, Shoket Amin Khan, Novneet Verma, Sunil Singh, Vikram Kumar, Verinder Singh, and Kapil Manhas, whilst Sajad Ahmad Bhat and Javid Ahmed Moorie have been sent to Traffic Kashmir Zone.

In changes impacting the Crime Branch, Inspectors Ajit Singh, Jatinder Singh, Sameer Ahmed Batt, Ashaq Hussain, and Jasvinder Choudhary have received fresh postings, while Feroz Ahmad Ito, Sheikh Manzoor Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Shaista Azhar Mughal, Naseer Ahmad, and Tasleem Ahmad have been transferred there from the Kashmir Zone. Shifting to Crime Jammu Zone are Urfan Wani, Tariq Hussain, Jalil Ahmed Kichloo, Naveen Sharma, Mohd. Irfan, Nissar Ahmed, Shiv Dev Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Pradeep Singh, and Ankuj Kumar.

Railway policing responsibilities have also been redistributed. Manohar Lal, Shiv Dev Singh, Ranjeet Singh, and Mohd Naseer are transferred from the Jammu Zone to the GRP, whilst Ab Ahad Baba, Riyaz Ahmad Ganie, Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Shahnawaz Ahmad, and Farooq Ahmad Hakeem move there from the Kashmir Zone.

General postings to the GRP include Shafayat Rashid Lone and Ghulam Rasool. Specifically deployed to GRP Jammu Zone are Ram Rattan, Sanjay Raina, Slim Altaf Raina, Sandeep Kumar, another inspector also named Sandeep Kumar, Ajay Kumar Engotra, Ravi Kumar, and Bupesh Singh, with Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh assigned to GRP Kashmir Zone.

The reshuffle heavily reinforces the Armed Zone and various Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police (JKAP) battalions. Deployed to the Armed Zone are Mushtaq Ahmed, Ries Azam Qureshi, Indpal Singh, Sajad Hussain, Mudassir Shafi, Javaid Ahmad Koka, Sajad Rasool, Muzaffar Ahmad, Naveen Singh, Nisar Ahmad Dar, Gowher Rashid Malla, Ghulam Rasool, Waqar Younis, Raja Ohmad Khan, Mir Reyaz Ahmed, Aashiq Hussain Magray, Ranjeet Singh, Vinod Kumar, Vikas Sharma, Sukhbir Singh, Pinki Devi, Ghani Shyam, Gourav Sharma, Sheetal Charak, Halima Begum, Mohd Saleem Koser, Faquir Singh, Mushtaq Ahmad, Nadeem Mubarak, Mohd Mansoor Malik, Mohd Azad Khan, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad, Mohd Rafi, and Shrwan Rana. Tabraiz Ahmed Khan and Gurvinder Singh are posted to Armed Zone Jammu Zone.

For battalion-specific assignments, Sham Lal, Shakil Ahmed, Mohd Alyas, Bashir Ahmed Kohli, Khalid Qayoom, Kunti Devi, Harmohinder Singh, Amit Kumar, Ajaz Haider, Kanchan Bala, and Sushma Kumari are posted to 7 JKAP; Sunil Kumar Sharma, Padam Dev Singh, Sumeet Sharma, Manraj Singh, Bopinder Singh, and Anuj Shoor are posted to 4 JKAP; Madasar Naseer and Musir Asgar go to 12 JKAP; Feroz Ahmad Khan is assigned to 11 JKAP; and Subzar Ahmad goes to 3 JKAP.

Security, territorial, and training school deployments form the remainder of the core transfers. Dilraj Singh Dilbar and H M Shahnawaz Giri have been transferred to the Kashmir Zone, while Yasar Mahmood Parray has been posted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Kashmir Zone. Appointed to general Security roles are Salfie Arshid Bangroo, Jazib Mohammad Bhat, and Ajaz Hmad, with Gh Rasool Khanday posted to Security Kashmir Zone, and Trilochan Singh, Umesh Nag, Romal Singh, Satya Parkash, and Ashish Sagar heading to Security Jammu Zone. Nadeem Akbar has been posted to HQ JK.

A series of placements have been made to state police training infrastructure. Sent to the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy Udhampur (SKPAU) are Hari Singh Nagial, Mustaj Ahmed, Vikas Dogra, Arun Singh, Rakesh Singh, Jatinder Vir Singh Chib, Tarseem Kumar, Vikrant Singh Kotwal, Vishal Manhas, and Nasser Mahmood Naik. Directed to the Police Training School (PTS) Kathua are Rajesh Kumar, Rajesh Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Rajeev Vaid, Satish Kumar Raina, and Kuldeep Kumar. Javed Iqbal Chowdhary and Bhopinder Singh are posted to the Police Transport Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur; Kuldeep Raj goes to the Subsidiary Training Centre (STC) Talwara; and Nasir Iqbal Mughal alongside Aga Asgar Ali are posted to STC Sheeri.

Hilal Madni Kabiri and Adil Bashir are sent to PTS Manigam, while Khalid Mehmood Salathi, Malikzada Towfeeq, Arshad Hussain Sheikh, Mohd Amin, and Gowhar Ali are sent to the Commando Training Centre (CTC) Lethpora.

In a separate directive, two Inspectors—Azad Ahmad from Jammu Zone and Chander Mohan from SKPAU—have been detached and sent to the Armed Zone for further duties.

The executive order also formalised the permanent transfer of five Inspectors previously attached to training institutions: Pawan Singh to PTTI Vijaypur, Anil Raina to PTS Kathua, Sajad Ahmad to CTC Lethpora, and both Ranjit Singh and Sidharath Pandit to STC Talwara.

Furthermore, Inspector Mohmad Anzar Khan, who was on deployment to the GRP from the Armed Zone, has been detached and formally transferred back to the Armed Zone for further duties.

To conclude the administrative adjustments, several posts have been returned to their parent wings to preserve operational structures. The posts held by Inspectors at Serial Numbers (S No) 44, 45, and 46 during their incumbency in Jammu Zone, S No 79, 84, 85, and 101 in Kashmir Zone, S No 165 in Crime, S No 234 and 251 in HQ J&K, S No 243 in PTS Kathua, and S No 245 in PTTI Vijaypur have all been restored to the Armed Zone.

Additionally, the post held by the officer at S No 71 during his posting in the Kashmir Zone has been restored to the 3 JKAP Battalion, and the post attached to the Crime Branch for the drawl of pay in respect of the officer at S No 170 has been restored to the Kashmir Zone.
