SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police have cautioned job seekers against cyber fraudsters allegedly using fake recruitment drives, suspicious verification procedures and attempts to obtain personal information to deceive candidates.
Police said fraudsters may design seemingly legitimate recruitment processes before asking applicants to undergo unusual verification or disclose sensitive personal details on the pretext of confirming their eligibility.
Candidates have been advised to verify the credentials of recruiters and organisations before sharing personal information. Police also urged job seekers to check official company websites, email domains and other details establishing the authenticity of the recruiting organisation.
The advisory also warned against instant job-selection offers and messages that create pressure or urgency to complete verification or provide personal details.
Police stressed that genuine recruitment processes should not require candidates to disclose sensitive information without proper verification.
Job seekers should independently confirm recruitment offers through the official website or verified contact details of the organisation before proceeding with any verification or sharing personal information.
