The Ministry has officially approved the transfer of student tuition fees to Iran via UCO Bank. “This important development enables students to legally and securely remit their tuition fees to Iranian universities through the official banking channel provided by UCO Bank,” officials stated.

This breakthrough follows over two years of consistent efforts and coordination with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi, they added.

“Over the past two years, we have worked diligently to address the legal, financial, and diplomatic aspects of the process. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Iranian Ambassador, whose guidance, support, and active involvement were instrumental in facilitating communication with the relevant authorities and obtaining the necessary approvals,” the officials said.

With this new channel in place, students and their families can now avoid unofficial or risky methods of remitting fees. The transfer process through UCO Bank ensures transparency, legal compliance, and peace of mind for all stakeholders.

“We remain committed to supporting students in their educational journeys and will continue to simplify and enhance procedures that impact their academic progress,” the officials added. (KNO)
