Citing Section 7 of the Foreigners Act, 1946, the advisory emphasises that submitting Form C online at indianfrro.gov.in or boi.gov.in is mandatory. It warns that non-compliance could lead to imprisonment of up to five years and fines under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946.

The advisory mandates that hosts provide details such as arrival and departure dates, photo ID proof, passport and visa details, purpose of visit, Indian reference with contact number, and further travel plans. It also specifies that all individuals or entities providing paid accommodation to foreign guests, including those on tourist, business, employment, medical, conference, project, intern, research, and journalist visas, must comply with this directive.

Additionally, hosts must maintain visitor registers recording the accurate arrival and departure dates of foreign guests. The advisory urges hoteliers and other accommodation providers to immediately report any suspicious activity or violations to the CID SB Jammu Control Room at 0191-2584375, 0191-2582621, 6005504514, and 8825097826.
