SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Tourism showcased the Union Territory’s established and emerging destinations, tourism experiences and investment opportunities at a business-to-business (B2B) networking event held during IITM Mumbai 2026 at Club Mumbai.

The presentation was delivered by Waseem Raja, Joint Director Tourism, Kashmir, and Vivek Puri, Chief Executive Officer of the Surinsar Mansar Development Authority, who highlighted the region’s tourism potential and its growing appeal among travellers.
Tourism officials and industry stakeholders presented a range of destinations, tourism products and experiences from across Jammu and Kashmir, including lesser-known locations with potential for further promotion.
The presentation also featured major tourism events recently organised in the Union Territory, including the Kashmir Marathon, which was highlighted as an addition to its tourism calendar and an initiative to increase its visibility among travel industry professionals and visitors.
The event facilitated interactions between J&K Tourism representatives and travel trade professionals, who raised queries, shared suggestions and discussed opportunities for collaboration. The visiting officials responded to their queries and provided information about tourism experiences, destinations and business and investment prospects in the Union Territory.
The networking initiative aimed to strengthen ties with the travel industry and explore partnerships to promote Jammu and Kashmir in key tourism markets.
