Jammu Kashmir Transport Department Transfers Five Motor Vehicle Inspectors

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Department on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of five Motor Vehicle Inspectors (MVIs) across different Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) jurisdictions in Kashmir with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by Transport Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan, JKAS, the reshuffle has been made in the interest of administration and to ensure the efficient functioning of the Motor Vehicles Department.

As per the order, Danish Yaqoob has been transferred from the ARTO Office, Baramulla, to the ARTO Office, Ganderbal, while Pervaiz Ahmad Khan, who was serving in the Transport Commissioner’s Office as part of the J&K UT-level Enforcement Team, has been posted to the ARTO Office, Budgam.

Similarly, Tariq Ahmad Jhara has been shifted from the ARTO Office, Ganderbal, to the ARTO Office, Kulgam. Asif Amin Chalkoo has been transferred from the ARTO Office, Budgam, to the ARTO Office, Kupwara, while Hakim Shahid Mehboob Chirag has been moved from the ARTO Office, Kulgam, to the ARTO Office, Baramulla.

The order states that, in addition to their routine responsibilities, the transferred officials will continue to function as members of the Board of Inspection and the Driving Testing Board in their respective jurisdictions. They will also perform enforcement duties as per the roster issued by the Transport Commissioner.

The officials have been deemed relieved from their present places of posting with immediate effect and have been directed to report to their new places of posting without delay.
