SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience generally hot and humid weather over the coming days, with brief spells of rain and thundershowers expected at scattered places, according to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.
From August 24 to 28, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are likely at scattered locations, mainly during the early morning and afternoon hours, the weather centre said.
Between August 29 and 31, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at scattered to many places, with brief intense showers possible during the early morning and afternoon hours.
Similar weather conditions are forecast for September 1 and 2, with rain or thundershowers likely at scattered places. From September 3 to 5, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are expected at isolated locations.
The Meteorological Centre warned that brief but intense showers in localised areas could trigger flash floods, mudslides and landslides.
The weather department advised farmers that harvesting and other agricultural operations may continue.
