Javaid Mir

Condemning the arrest of Kashmir University student against not “observing the June 21 as the International Yoga Day” and to force the people to pay tribute to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) founder Hedgevar, senior Hurriyat leader Javaid Ahmad Mir Wednesday said the University authorities are now openly working to implement the RSS agenda in the varsity.

“It is very unfortunate that Kashmir University authorities for just the mere personal interests are busy in petty politicking,” Mir said.

He said the reality that Valley is a Muslim majority state is being ignored by the authorities on the dictation of the communal forces.

Demanding the immediate release of student from English Department Muzamil Farooq Dar of Gandibagh Kakapora Pulwama, Mir said, “If such activities to play with the future of our students will continue, the responsibility of the aftermath consequences will be on the authorities and the present ruling dispensation.”
