SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday claimed to have busted a militant module of Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit and arrested four militants in Jammu.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh wrote: “Jaish-e-Mohammed module #busted, Four militants arrested, Major tragedy averted in #Jammu (sic).”

“They were planning a collection of arms dropped by drones and supply to active militants of Jaish-e- Mohammed in Kashmir valley; planting a vehicle-based IED in #Jammu before August 15 and reconnaissance of important targets in other parts of the country,” he said.

“Muntazir Manzoor@ Saifullah R/O Prichoo Pulwama, a member of Jaish-e-Mohammed was the first to be arrested in this chain & from him Pistol, Magazine, rounds & Hand grenades were recovered. His truck used for transporting weapons to the valley was also seized,” said ADGP Mukesh Singh in a tweet.
