Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, called on Governor N N Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan, in Jammu on Monday and apprised the Governor about Bank’s financial results for the 3rd Quarter.
The Governor complimented Chairman Mushtaq Ahmad over the significant enhancements achieved in several areas of functioning during the 3rd Quarter, particularly in regard to the reduction in the percentage of NPAs, an official spokesperson said this evening.
The Governor discussed with Chairman the need for the Bank to provide targeted support to identified segments of the State’s economy and stressed the Bank’s responsibility to play a larger role in speeding up the growth and development of the State.
Meanwhile, Dr S.S. Bloeria, Member Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), called on Vohra, Chairman of the Board, at the Raj Bhavan.
Dr Bloeria briefed the Governor about the progress of the Super Specialty Hospital and the Nursing College at Kakryal, the spokesperson added.
The Governor stressed the need to develop the entire Banganga area in a systematic manner for restoring the river and protecting the environment.
