J&K Bank convened the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meet at Rest House Chawalgam in Kulgam.

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam Jahangir Ahmad Mir chaired the review meeting, which was attended by almost all the line departments and district coordinators of banks and financial Institutions.

While highlighting the achievements made under District Credit Plan (DCP), Lead District Manager (LDM) Ghulam Nabi Dar said the total Credit extended under Priority and Non-priority sectors amounts to 129.54 Crore disbursed among 14224 beneficiaries.

The Banks have disbursed Rs 112.18 Cr to Priority Sector among 13,177 beneficiaries constituting 84 per cent of total lending. Out of the disbursement, Rs 77 Crore constituting 64 per cent have been extended to agriculture sector to 10800 beneficiaries. Under Housing sector Rs. 3.12 Crore have been extended to 109 Beneficiaries.

Banks have disbursed 64.55 crore among 8866 beneficiaries under KCC scheme. Under Non- Priority Sector 17.34 Crore have been disbursed among 1047 beneficiaries.

Banks have so far lent Rs 319 Crore in the district, wherein J&K bank alone has contributed 78 per cent of the total lending.  The CD Ratio of the district is 49.91 per cent.

Speaking at the meeting, DDC stressed upon the need to implement Central/State Welfare development Schemes in letter & spirit and impressed upon the Banks to provide hassle free credit facilities to the youth, as the government cannot provide Jobs to every person.

LDM thanked the Chairman DLRC for taking keen interest in the review and asked all the line departments and district Coordinators to gear up for achieving 100 per cent of DCP.
