J&K Bank family across the country held condolence meetings to mourn the untimely death of their four colleagues in a tragic road accident Monday on Jammu – Pathankot highway in Kathua district.

The four officers were on their way to duty at Business Unit Pathankot when they met the tragic accident.

The deceased are identified as Branch Head Mohan Singh,  Executive Ajay Kumar Koul, Executive Anil Kumar  & Associate Executive Rakesh Charak.

Joined by all the staff members, a major condolence meeting was led by the Chairman & CEO, Parvez Ahmed, at the bank’s corporate headquarters Monday afternoon . A two-minute silence was observed in honour of the deceased.

In his speech, while praying for peace to departed souls, Ahmed said that the “tragic incident has shattered us emotionally”. He also appealed to all members of the bank to have courage to overcome the shock and stand united to show solidarity to the bereaved families.

Ahmed later flew to Jammu and attended the funeral of the deceased.

According to spokesman, Ahmed on behalf of entire J&K bank family expressed his grief and sympathy with the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls.
