Carrying forward its ‘Health for All’ mission as a part its Platinum Jubilee initiative, J&K Bank today organized a free medical camp in Reasi, 64 kilometers from Jammu. More than two hundred patients are reported to have visited the camp for check-up, consultation and counseling.

As per a statement District Development Commissioner (DDC) Reasi Dr Shahid Iqbal (IAS) inaugurated the camp in the presence of Bank’s Zonal Head Jammu (West) Gurcharan Singh, Cluster Head Reasi, Chief Medical Officer and Medical Superintendent Reasi.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC Reasi hailed the Bank’s initiative and suggested that the bank should organize more such camps at far off places with least or no medical facilities available.

Dr Rakesh Raina, Dr Sushil Sharma, Dr Virender Gupta and other Paramedical staff from Government Hospital Reasi offered consultations and tests like ECG besides distributing free medicines to the poor patients, reads the statement.

Zonal Head has said that the Bank was conscious of its social and cultural commitments towards the people of state while being committed to provide world class products and services to its customers across the country.

As part of its Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Bank is taking various initiatives under CSR and today’s camp is also part of it, he added.
