To review the performance of banks Budgam and Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir Bank held District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meetings. District Development Commissioners of the respective districts chaired these meetings.

Applauding the Banks for 99.11% achievements in non priority sector, District Development Commissioner Budgam, Khursheed Ahmad Shah (IAS) said that J&K Bank has been playing a bigger role in establishing Job oriented schemes and assisting the unemployed youth in establishing their own units/enterprises thus helping in overall economic growth of the District.

He directed banks to  ensure the disbursement of all the Cases expeditiously and assured these Banks about the realization of Margin Money/Interest Subsidy and Capital Subsidy pending with the sponsoring agencies, so that Banks be in a position to disburse all pending cases.

Earlier, the Lead District Manager Budgam, Asrar Ahmad briefed the meeting house about the achievements up to Quarter ending December 2013 with respect to the targets fixed for the financial year under District Credit Plan 2013-2014.

Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner Pulwama, M A Lone, while reviewing the performance, directed all the stake holders to ensure 100% coverage of farmers under KCC and to popularize various Government Sponsored schemes, so that the youth of the area can take benefit of employment generating programmes.

Earlier, Lead District Manager M Syed briefed the house about achievement of banks as on 31/12/2013 under Annual Credit Plan (ACP) 2013-14.

He informed the house that 4 branches and 18 ATMs of various banks were opened during current fiscal in the district.
