SRINAGAR: Jammu & Kashmir Bank stated on Wednesday that it has established more than 20 counters in all district headquarters to offer Foreign Exchange Services for Hajj pilgrims.
Speaking to reporters, Syed Shafaat Hussain Rufai, General Manager of Communication & Digital Channels at J&K Bank, mentioned that, similar to the previous year, they have facilitated foreign currency exchange services in almost every district.
“Hajj pilgrims can easily exchange their currency by providing a PAN card, an Aadhaar card, and a passport copy at their respective bank branch, where they can effortlessly convert their currency,” he said.
Additionally, Rufai explained that pilgrims can carry their Aadhaar card to the bank branch to activate foreign transactions. He added that they can withdraw 1,700 Saudi Riyals daily and make purchases up to 4,300 Saudi Riyals using card swipes.
“We have installed over 20 foreign exchange currency counters in every district headquarters of J&K Bank, including four major counters in Srinagar district and one at Hajj House Bemina, Srinagar,” he said. “The Hujjaj (Hajj pilgrims) should remember us in their prayers, take care of their health, and stay safe.” (KNO)
