SRINAGAR: Adding yet another feather to its digital cap, J&K Bank has emerged as a major winner at the IBA CISO Summit & Citations 2025, clinching four top awards in the Private Sector (Medium Size) category. The honours were conferred in recognition of the Bank’s excellence in cyber security, resilience, and digital governance.
Held under the theme ‘Elevating Cyber Resilience: Protect, Adapt, and Thrive’, the summit recognised leading institutions for their cutting-edge practices in cyber defence and digital protection. J&K Bank stood out with four key accolades — Cyber Security Transformation of the Year, Cyber Security Compliance Champion, Cyber Security Team of the Year, and a Special Prize for Cyber Security Incident Response Mastery.
The awards were presented in Mumbai by a distinguished jury comprising cyber security leaders, including Anil Bhandari (Advisor to NCIIPC and former Group CISO, SBI), Dr Sriram Birudavolu (CEO, Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, Telangana – DSCI), and Pravin Kumar (Chief Market Information Security Officer, NPCI). Senior IBA officials Gopal Murli Bhagat and K Srinivasa Rao were also present at the event.
The Bank’s Chief Information Security Officer, Muneer Hassan KongaWani, received the honours on behalf of the institution, which was praised for its consistent efforts in protecting customer data and strengthening cyber defences in an increasingly digital banking landscape.

Executive Director Sudhir Gupta and the Bank’s senior leadership, including General Managers, joined in commending the IT and Information Security teams, terming the awards a “milestone moment” in J&K Bank’s evolving digital journey.
The IBA CISO Summit is a flagship cybersecurity event that brings together regulators, top bank executives, information security officers, and industry leaders to promote and reward the best practices in securing digital financial infrastructure.
