J&K Bank conducted an interactive session with general public including its customers in village Teelwani in South Kashmir. The session attended by large number of people belonging to different sectors of economy was chaired by the J&K Bank President Rajesh Kumar Chhibber, a bank statement said on Wednesday.

Sarpanch of the village, local Auqaf President, branch head of Teewani business unit and senior officers of the bank were also present on the occasion.

The President R. K. Chhibber highlighted the importance of financial inclusion in triggering progress and prosperity in rural areas like Teelwani. He laid emphasis on bringing more and more villagers under the banking fold. He also advised the Branch Head and concerned Cluster Head to achieve 100% financial inclusion, the statement said.

The President asked the villagers to take full advantage of banking services and schemes of the bank.

The statement concluded that the villagers hailed the bank for opening a business unit in Teelwani and providing hassle free services to them. Notably, Teelwani village is adopted by the Reserve Bank of India.
