Factoo-26-1The Jammu and Kashmir State participated in the India International Trade Fair 2013 held from November 14 to 27 at Pragati Maidan New Delhi.

Jammu and Kashmir State Day was Tuesday celebrated at the event and inaugurated by Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce, Farooq Ahmad Faktoo. The fair as such has assumed status of an iconic event and the participation of the state through J&K pavilion has become a distinctive feature in the fair.

The main attraction of the state Day was cultural programmes of all three regions of the state performed by the artists of Department of Cultural Academy J&K.

On the occasion the Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce in his brief speech appreciated the coordinated efforts of J&K Information Department and J&K Cultural Academy for making the event successful. He also thanked the Officers and officials of other departments / corporations/ entrepreneurs and people at large who were present at the event.

On the other side thousands of people thronged the J&K pavilion where stall holders displayed their commodities and show cased their talent and skill of indigenous Art and crafts of the state having worldwide recognition.
