Stating that the construction of the wall along the Line of Control (LOC) in the state of Jammu and Kashmir is aimed to convert the state into ‘a prison’, the United Jihad Council (UJC) chief Syed Sallah-ud-Din on has said that the proposal will be strongly opposed.

According to a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the UJC chief has said that the Kashmir issue is an international issue accepted by both India and Pakistan and no law on earth can permit its division into two parts through construction of a wall on border.

According to the UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain, the UJC chief further said:  “The people of Kashmir will oppose any such move that divides the region and that the Pakistan before the world must uncover India’s hidden policies.”

Syed Sallah-ud-Din said that the people of Kashmir are at war with India and have rendered the sacrifices of precious lives, properties. “This war will continue till the oppression continues in Kashmir. Construction of the wall along LOC is like the Berlin wall and is aimed to make the occupation of India permanent in Kashmir but the move will be opposed on all the fronts.”

UJC chief has also welcomed the recent release of Dr. G N Fai from the American prison. “Dr. Fai has contributed a lot to the Kashmir’s ongoing struggle and his stability even during the turbulent times must be appreciated.”
