After seven days of disturbances in National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, the J&K government Thursday instituted an inquiry in to the incidents which took place inside the campus.

J&K deputy chief minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, Thursday held deliberations with Kashmir administrative officials in Srinagar.

Sources said that ADC Srinagar have been asked to investigate the issue and submit report to the state government within 15 days.

The ADC has also been asked to probe the charges of lathi charge on outstation students.

Meanwhile, reports said that scores of non-local students this afternoon marched across Hazratbal campus chanting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” slogans.
