SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police have offered a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on one of the most wanted militants in the Jammu region, Muhammad Qasim Gujjar, also known as Suleman, from Reasi district. He is currently residing in the Sialkot area of Pakistan.

The Jammu and Kashmir police have released a poster with two pictures of Muhammad Qasim Gujjar, urging the public to provide information about him. “The identity of the informant will be kept secret, and Rs 10 lakh will be given to anyone providing the information,” the poster states.

“He is involved in numerous terror activities, including attacks, radicalization, recruitment, terror financing, and weapon dropping through drones. Muhammad Qasim Gujjar (41), son of Late Muhammad Shafi, hails from the village of Angralla, tehsil Mahore, district Reasi. He has a wheatish complexion, medium-sized body, stands five feet ten inches tall, has black and straight hair, and is usually seen wearing a Pathani suit and combat dress,” the police said.

A case bearing FIR number 02/2024 of Police Station CID counter-insurgency Jammu has been registered against the accused.

Furthermore, the police have stated that Gujjar is a designated militant under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act of 1967 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi. “Anyone providing information leading to the arrest of Qasim will be rewarded with Rs 10 lakh,” the police poster reads.
