SRINAGAR: A Head Constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Police died after he fell unconscious at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) in Udhampur on Saturday.
Quoting officials news agency GNS reported the policeman suddenly collapsed while undergoing training at the academy and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Head Constable Bashir Anjum, a resident of Gursai in the Mendhar area of Poonch district. He was presently undergoing training at SKPA Udhampur.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the exact cause of death. Further investigation is underway.
