As per a police spokesperson Jammu and Kashmir police has ordered promotion of 140 assistant sub-inspectors (ASI) to the rank of sub-inspectors in a departmental promotion move.
Inspector general of police (IGP), Kashmir, Abdul Ghani Mir has issued the orders of promotion to 140 assistant sub-inspectors to the rank of sub-inspectors on Thursday.
The Departmental Promotion Committee has cleared 199 assistant sub-inspectors for promotion to the next rank and orders were issued in favour of 140 of them this time, he said.
