The doctors from Kashmir who have been shortlisted for interview for the posts of Medical Officer in Health and Medical Education Departmentat JK Public Service Commission office, Jammu vide notice issued on 10 December 2013 appeal chief minister Omar Abdullah to review the decision.

According to the statement, they said that such decision of calling around thousand doctors to Jammu sounds ‘irrational and illogical’ as it not only incur huge cost and wastage of three thousand working days, considering three days leave for each candidate.

They appealed that instead the interview panel shall come to Srinagar for eight or nine days. Moreover the  unpredictable weather may imperil travel to Jammu and may bring hardship to the candidates.
