SRINAGAR: The Government on Wednesday informed that 114 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 34 from the Jammu division and 80 from the Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 322885. Also, 01 COVID death has been reported from Jammu Division.
Moreover, 114 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 41 from Jammu Division and 73 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 99.62 percent of the population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bulletin also informs that 01 new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the taking the total number of confirmed cases remains to 38 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 322885 positive cases, 1297 are Active Positive, 317195 have recovered and 4393 have died; 2154 in the Jammu division and 2239 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 12364041 test results available, 12041156 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date, 3001629 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 9051 persons in-home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 1297 in isolation and 376014 in-home surveillance. Besides, 2610874 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71719 positive cases (including 27 cases reported today) with 309 Active Positive, 70576 recovered (including 16 cases recovered today), 834 deaths; Baramulla has 23736 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today) with 88 Active Positive, 23366 recovered (including 25 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 22984 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 73 active positive cases, 22705 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Pulwama has 15240 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 47 Active Positive, 14999 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14137 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today), 47 Active Positive, 13925 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16346 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today ) with 24 Active Positive, 16117 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today), 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9531 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today), with 57 Active Positive, 9374 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9989 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 69 Active Positive, 9842 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11312 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 32Active Positive, 11163 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5588 positive cases with 04 active positive cases, 5526 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 52877 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 136 active positive cases, 51601 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today), 1140 deaths; Udhampur has 11355 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today), 52 active positive cases, 11166 recoveries (including 03case recovered today) and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11006 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 71 active positive, 10707 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 228 deaths; Doda has 7374 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 111 Active positive, 7135 recovered (including 11 cases recovered today) and 128 deaths; Kathua has 9268 positive cases with 04 active positive cases, 9113 recovered (including 02 cases recovered today)and 151 deaths; Samba has 7127 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today)with 06 active positive cases, 7002 recoveries and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4695 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 50 Active Positive, 4601 recoveries (including 04cases recovered today) and 44 deaths; Poonch has 6285 positive cases with 31 active positive, 6157 recoveries (including 02cases recovered today) and 97 deaths; Ramban has 5980 positive cases with 18 active positive cases, 5895 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today)and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6336 positive cases with 68 active positive cases, 6225 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 322885 positive cases in J&K, 22967 have been reported as travellers while 299918 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2001 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 394 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3040 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 254 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5041 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 648 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
