SRINAGAR: The  Government on Tuesday informed that 126 new positive cases of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), 34 from Jammu division and 92 from the Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 326159.

Moreover, 148 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 25 from Jammu Division and 123 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 70.39 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 45 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 326159 positive cases, 1264 are Active Positive, 320485 have recovered and 4410 have died; 2166 in Jammu division and 2244 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 13682053 test results available, 13355894 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 3333245 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8195 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1264 in isolation and 466243 in home surveillance. Besides, 2853133 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 72763 positive cases (including 46 cases reported today) with 558 Active Positive, 71369 recovered (including 53 cases recovered today), 836 deaths; Baramulla has 23989 positive cases (including 20 cases reported today) with 140 Active Positive, 23567 recovered (including 30 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23287 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 144 active positive cases, 22936 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today), 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15366 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 42 Active Positive, 15130 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14264 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today), 26 Active Positive, 14072 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 166 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16459 positive cases with 24 Active Positive, 16230 recovered and 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9654 positive cases with 28 Active Positive, 9525 recoveries and 101 deaths; Ganderbal has 10150 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 28 Active Positive, 10044 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11433 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 18 Active Positive, 11298 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5601 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 5538 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 53053 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 60 active positive cases, 51851 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today), 1142 deaths; Udhampur has 11385 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 11243 recoveries and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11113 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 22 active positive, 10856 recoveries  and 235 deaths; Doda has 7630 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 83 Active positive, 7417 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today) and 130 deaths; Kathua has 9286 positive cases with no active positive case, 9135 recovered  and 151 deaths; Samba has 7138 positive cases  with 05 active positive cases, 7013 recoveries  and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4794 positive cases with 22 Active Positive, 4728 recoveries and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6326 positive cases with 11 active positive, 6218 recoveries and 97 deaths;  Ramban has 6000 positive cases with 14 active positive cases, 5919 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6468 positive cases with 29 active positive cases, 6396 recoveries and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 326159 positive cases in J&K, 23195 have been reported as travelers while 302964 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 2004 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 401 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3028 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 276 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5032 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 677 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
