SRINAGAR: The Government on Wednesday informed that 149 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 49 from Jammu division and 100 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 322014. Also, one Covid death has been reported from Kashmir division.
Moreover, 127 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 43 from Jammu Division and 84 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 99.51 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bulletin also informs that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 35 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 322014 positive cases, 1314 are Active Positive, 316315 have recovered and 4385 have died; 2147 in Jammu division and 2238 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 11947718 test results available, 11625704 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2907087 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7615 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1314 in isolation and 353477 in home surveillance. Besides, 2540296 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71494 positive cases (including 34 cases reported today) with 331 Active Positive, 70330 recovered (including 27 cases recovered today), 833 deaths; Baramulla has 23685 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 146 Active Positive, 23257 recovered (including 18 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 22924 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 73 active positive cases, 22645 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Pulwama has 15201 positive cases (including 05 cases reported today) with 49 Active Positive, 14958 recovered (including 04 cases recovered today) and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14089 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today), 29 Active Positive, 13895 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16332 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 38 Active Positive, 16089 recovered (including 01 case recovered today), 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9491 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today), with 26 Active Positive, 9365 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9945 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 66 Active Positive, 9801 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11272 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 24 Active Positive, 11131 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5585 positive cases with 06 active positive cases, 5521 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 52805 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 113 active positive cases, 51553 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today), 1139 deaths; Udhampur has 11310 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today), 29 active positive cases, 11145 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today) and 136 deaths; Rajouri has 10964 positive cases (including 07 cases reported today) with 67 active positive, 10671 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today) and 226 deaths; Doda has 7303 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 113 Active positive, 7063 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today) and 127 deaths; Kathua has 9265 positive cases (including 01 case reported today) with 05 active positive case, 9109 recovered and 151 deaths; Samba has 7123 positive cases with 03 active positive cases, 7001 recoveries and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4654 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 31 Active Positive, 4579 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 44 deaths; Poonch has 6269 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 26 active positive, 6147 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 96 deaths; Ramban has 5974 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today) with 28 active positive cases, 5880 recoveries and 66 deaths while Reasi has 6329 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 111 active positive cases, 6175 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 322014 positive cases in J&K, 22923 have been reported as travelers while 299091 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1996 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 391 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3040 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 239 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5036 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 630 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir
