SRINAGAR: The Government on Friday informed that 221 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 103 from Jammu division and 118 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 319576.Also 01 COVID-19 death has been reported from Jammu Division.
Moreover, 208 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 70 from Jammu Division and 138from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 99.15 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The Bulletin also informs that 01 confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 33 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 319576 positive cases, 2116 are Active Positive, 313098 have recovered and 4362 have died; 2131 in Jammu division and 2231 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 10906400 test results available, 10586824 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2613283 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 9356 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 2116 in isolation and 298740 in home surveillance. Besides, 2298709 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 70858 positive cases (including 40 cases reported today) with 441 Active Positive, 69585 recovered (including 51 cases recovered today), 832 deaths; Baramulla has 23478 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 172 Active Positive, 23026 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 280 deaths; Budgam reported 22787 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 100 active positive cases, 22483 recovered (including 14 cases recovered today), 204 deaths; Pulwama has 15082 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 98 Active Positive, 14791 recovered and 193 deaths; Kupwara has 13986 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today), 75 Active Positive, 13746 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered today), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16275 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 107 Active Positive, 15963 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9425 positive cases (including 02 cases reported today), with 73 Active Positive, 9252 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today), 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9797 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 105 Active Positive, 9615 recoveries (including 20 cases recovered today) and 77 deaths; Kulgam has 11202 positive cases (including 03 cases reported today) with 54 Active Positive, 11031 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5572 positive cases (including 01 cases reported today) with 09 active positive cases, 5505recoveriesand 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 52624 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 185 active positive cases, 51301 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered today), 1138 deaths; Udhampur has 11255 positive cases (including 04 cases recovered today), 52 active positive cases, 11070 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today) and 133 deaths; Rajouri has 10840 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 82 active positive, 10534 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 224 deaths; Doda has 7102 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 162 Active positive, 6818 recovered (including 17 cases recovered today) and 122 deaths; Kathua has 9252 positive cases(including 07 cases reported today) with 22 active positive cases, 9081 recovered (including 03 cases recovered today)and 149 deaths; Samba has 7116positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 38 active positive cases, 6959 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered today)and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4582 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 57 Active Positive, 4482 recoveries (including 10 cases recovered today) and 43 deaths; Poonch has 6214 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 97 active positive, 6023 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today) and 94 deaths; Ramban has 5934 positive cases (including 12 cases reported today) with 68 active positive cases, 5800 recoveriesand 66 deaths while Reasi has 6195 positive cases (including 01 cases recovered today)with 119 active positive cases, 6033recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today)and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 319576 positive cases in J&K, 22752 have been reported as travelers while 296824 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1964 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 392 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2982 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 233 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 4946 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 625 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
