Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association State team won 13 medals including 2 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze medals in Taekwondo Kyorugi/ Poomsae Championship for medalist, which was held from January 18 to 24, 2013 at T.T. Nagar Stadium, Bhopal Madhya Pradesh. All the medalists have qualified for the forthcoming 2nd International India Open Taekwondo Championship in the month of April- May in Banglore, India.
J&K Taekwondo Association organized 15 days special pre-participation coaching camp for the said championship under the coaching of Atul Pangotra (NIS) Commonwealth medalist and also participated in the said championship and won his continue Gold medal from 2008.
List of Medal Winners:-
1. Atul Pangotra (Commonwealth Medalist) working in Department of Youth Services & Sports, J&K, won Gold medal in Senior- 2 Individual event
2. Sanket Sharma Gold medal in Junior Individual event.
3. Brinder Manhas 1 Bronze medal in Senior- 1 Individual event and Silver in Senior Team event.
4. Vikrant Joshi won Silver medal in Senior Team event.
5. Arvind Kumar Satti won Silver medal in Team event.
6. Adnan Beig won Bronze medal in Senior Pair event.
7. Mukta Gupta won Bronze medal in Senior Pair event
8. Nitin Singh Rathore(Udhampur) won Bronze medal in under 54 kg.
9. Murtaza (Kargil) won Bronze medal in under 58 kg.
10. Anil Khajuria (Kathua) won Bronze medal in under 68kg.
11. Vikas Sharma (Jammu) won Bronze medal in under 74 kg.
12. Kanav Mahajan (Jammu) won Bronze medal in under 80 kg.
