A delegation of the Valley’s apex trade body, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCC&I) headed by the president, Abdul Hamid Punjabi attended the Pre-budget meeting with state finance minister, Abdul Rahim Rather of J&K State on Monday at Excise and Taxation Complex, Solina, Rambagh, Srinagar.

“The conglomerate submitted a detailed Pre-budget suggestions document to the finance minister for his consideration and incorporation in the ensuing budget speech for the year 2013-14,” informed the general secretary KCC&I, Bilal Kawoosa.

Kawoosa said that the detailed paper was read and discussed with the minister, “Issues, interventions and problems raised by the KCC&I for different sectors of economy like Power, MSME, Tourism, Handicraft/ Handloom, Horticulture, Agriculture, General Trade were discussed with the minister.”
