J&K to have new government in three days, says BJP

With the deadlock continues over the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, The Bhartiya Janta party Tuesday claimed that the BJP, PDP will form the new government within next three days.

“Both BJP and PDP leaders have reached into the agreement over the government formation and I can tell you that the formal announcement to form the government will be in next three days, BJP’s State General Secretary (Organizations) Ashok Koul told KNS over phone.

Sources told KNS that in this regard some of the top BJP leaders including the National General Secretary Ram Madhav, MP and in-charge J&K affairs Avinash Rai Khanna, are arriving in Jammu and Kashmir in next two days.

The development came at a time when Dheli poll results have come out and the Aaam Aadmi party (AAP) has swiped the Delhi elections by winning 67 seats.

Koul further while commenting on the results of Delhi polls said that the BJP congratulates the AAP over their win. “See it was the people’s verdict which we have to acknowledge,” he said but was quick to add that as for as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned people have given us the mandate of the largest share of votes.

He said after the formation of government BJP’s focus will be on developments and providing the people of the state an opportunity for growth. “The party promises that it will give a credible and stable government to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will fulfill the aspirations of people,” he said.

He also said that BJP PDP government will be transparent and corruption-free government in the state that will focus on ensuring speedy development and provide employment opportunities to youth in the state.

It is to mention here that PDP has emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats in the 87-member Assembly followed closely by BJP with 25 seats while NC bagged 15 and Congress won 12.
