SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation (JKYF) held a blood donation camp on Tuesday at the COVID Care Centre in Pulwama district.
The camp, carried out in partnership with the District Hospital Pulwama, was inaugurated by Sheikh Abdul Aziz, the ADDC (Additional District Development Commissioner) of Pulwama.
Scores of JKYF volunteers and well-wishers actively participated in the event, donating blood units. Aziz emphasised the significance of this humanitarian cause, especially during the holy month of Muharram ul Haram. He urged people to make regular blood donations to save precious human lives.
During the occasion, Aziz also highlighted the leading role of JKYF in supporting and rehabilitating the poor, needy, and destitute within the region.
Senior JKYF volunteer, Mohammad Abdullah Ahangar, appealed to people from all sections of society to participate in this noble initiative. He stressed the importance of irrespective of caste, religion, or background in coming forward to donate blood, thereby contributing to the well-being of the community.
