SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has allowed students who pass Annual (Private) or Bi-Annual examinations in any calendar year to appear in the following Annual/Regular examination, removing earlier restrictions that may have prevented their progression.
The decision was notified on October 22 by Director Academics Parveen Singh, with the board directing schools to facilitate the admission of eligible students to the next class.
The notification amplifies an earlier order issued on April 10, 2017, and states that students qualifying in the specified examinations will be eligible to take the succeeding Annual/Regular examination, irrespective of any restrictions notified previously.
The move is intended to prevent interruptions in students’ academic progress and enable them to continue their education without unnecessary delays.
JKBOSE has issued the notification for the information of all stakeholders and asked the concerned schools to act accordingly.
