Srinagar: A meeting of State Affiliation Committee (SAC) of J&K State Board of School Education was held on Friday to examine applications seeking grant of affiliation of Private schools.

The spokesman said that meeting was chaired by Sarita Chouhan, Commissioner Secretary School Education Department and convened by Prof. Veena Pandita, Chairperson JKBOSE.

The meeting was attended by Mohd Younis Malik   Director School Education, Kashmir,  Anuradaha Gupta, Director School Education Jammu, Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Hakak, Joint Secretary, General, KD,   Altaf Hussain, Joint Secretary, General, JD, Jammu,   Shafqat Chib, Principal, GHSS (B), Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Pardeep Singh Billoria, Sr. Lect. SIE, Jammu.

The State Affiliation Committee scrutinized 224(Two Hundred Twenty Four) cases of Private schools for grant of affiliation. The extension in affiliation was granted to 124 schools of Jammu Division and 16 schools of Kashmir Division, while 89 schools from Jammu Division and 12 schools of Kashmir Division were granted conditional affiliation. The upgradation in affiliation was granted to 31 schools of Jammu Division and 22 schools of Kashmir Division, while 18 schools of Jammu Division and 7 schools of Kashmir Division were granted conditional affiliation. The conditional affiliation in respect of Extension and Upgradation is subject to fulfillment of deficiencies within a period of three months. The detailed list of schools which were granted Affiliation will be uploaded on JKBOSE website.
